A playful project for showcasing the beautiful colour transitions in a Koigu Pencil Box or Paint Can. The simple shaping creates a lightweight kerchief with endless colour possibilities and a striking striped effect. Designed for FIFA World Cup 2026!

Finished Measurements
A small kerchief cast on 100 stitches  Approx. 20" (50 cm) wide at the widest point
and 13.5" (34 cm) deep from neck edge to point.
For a larger kerchief, cast on 130 stitches.

Materials
Koigu Pencil Box – 10 x 25g skeins of KPPPM Fingering Weight Yarn (87 yds / 80 m each) OR
Koigu Paint Can – 5 x 25g skeins of KPPPM Fingering Weight Yarn (87yds / 80 m each)

Tools 
Crochet hook (optional edging)
Tapestry needle
4 mm (US 6) or 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needle, 40 cm (16") long
(Use the circular needle as a straight needle)

Gauge
21 sts x 34 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Stocking Stitch using 4 mm (US 6)
