2yrs: finished vest - 25” chest, 10” long

4yrs: finished vest - 27” chest, 12” long

6yrs: finished vest - 31” chest, 13½” long

Materials:

Koigu KPPPM Pencil Box PlayTime 1 (1) (2) [10 x 25g demi skeins 87yd (80m)] 100% Merino wool, Koigu KPM 50g / 175yds/ 160m !00% Merino wool 1 skein 2130,

3mm / US 3  short needles (or size to obtain gauge), tapestry needle,

3mm / US 3 (D) crochet hook, stitch markers

Gauge:

Size 2:19sts in garter knit into a square should make 1 3/8“ square with 3mm needles.

Size 4: 21sts in garter knit into a square should make 1 ½ “square with 3mm needles.

Size 6: 25sts in garter knit into a square should make 1 ¾ “ square with 3mm needles.

Notes:

Modular knitting requires short needles and little time to make that small square. Play blocks vest has one graph for 3 sizes. Increasing the size of the square for each size changes the sizes. It is absolutely essential to do the “practice piece” to familiarize with the technique and the sizing of the squares.
