Description
Muhu Inspired Shawl
2020 LYS day Koigu Pencil Boxes
This year we have selected 10 Estonian Folk Costume woven skirt palettes. Each region of Estonia has a local distinct colour palette that is reflected in most of their craft like knitting, and weaving. The colours are also open for interpretation and individuality.
Estonian palettes cannot go without mentioning black (or dark ) used for grounding and white (natural white) which is important for light in the palette. Many of our regular Pencil Boxes will work in organizing your colours to make this shawl.
Muhu palette is probably the most popular shirt in present day. The brightness, and boldness of the skirt is known worldwide amongst Estonians. This article, includes further information on the traditional Muhu costume. .
